Where it all began...

Formed in 2009, TeamMED is a student-led organisation that provides Monash University students with opportunities to experience and contribute to global health. A revolutionary club of the Monash Students Association (MSA), we aim to instill an enthusiasm and passion for healthcare in less developed communities by helping students get involved in both local and global practical initiatives.
Our programs include medical outreach trips across the globe, local volunteer opportunities, medical resource collection, information evenings, and skill development and fundraising events.

We work to provide focused and educational trips that are sustainable, long-term, which provide quality healthcare, uphold patients' rights, and ultimately benefit the communities we visit. In running our programs, we endeavour to promote and abide by the "10 Ethical Principals for Working Abroad", as published by the Australian Medical Association in conjunction with the Australian Medical Students' Association.

Our Mission

We are committed to inspiring a passion for global health in students by providing opportunities to become directly involved in health-care in developing communities we strive to create mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships between our organisation, our students and the communities we work with.

Our Prospectus

Every year Team MED is proud to organise the global health trips to Tonga, Uganda, and Nepal. This year, we are excited to share that Team MED will be working closely with the Bigu community in Nepal to build a medical clinic in this rural village!
