Regular Events

TeamMED runs numerous local initiatives that students can be involved in locally, along with global outreach information, education and training. More information about each event can be found below!
For the most up to date information about our events, please visit our Facebook page!

Launch Night
Usually held in March, our first event every year highlights the different teams that work with our overseas partner communities. Launch Night provides a fantastic opportunity to explore ways to get involved in TeamMED's overseas initiatives!
Days for Girls Night
In collaboration with Days For Girls International, students come together to pack menstrual kits that are distributed globally to women who would not otherwise have access to them. These kits are environmentally friendly, reusable, and help keep young women in school.

Birthing Kits Night
TeamMED works with Birthing Kits Foundation Australia to pack sanitary birthing kits that are distributed globally in order to reduce morbidity and mortality surrounding the birthing process.
TeamMED AGM
Our AGM is a celebration of TeamMED's success throughout the year. This is where the following year's executive committee is announced, and is not a night to miss!

Discontinued Events

Refugee Health Night
Refugee health night involved prestigious speakers such as Professor Suresh Sundram, who presented the facts about refugee health. Delicious and ethical catering was provided by the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. TeamMED thanks all that were involved in this program!
Elective Info Night
Elective info night involved a number of guest speakers who have undertaken extraordinary elective programs both domestically and overseas. The event has been discontinued with the introduction of the Monash BMedSci/MD program as of 2020, which has replaced the elective with the Scholarly Intensive Project.
